Manhattanhenge III

Last one of these, I loved the halo of light around the guy holding his phone up in the air.

Manhattanhenge I

Manhattanhenge (the time of year when the sun’s path perfectly lines up with the Manhattan grid) is an interesting event to shoot - while the light is amazing, it presents a ton of technical issues, mostly around exposing a giant fireball of light. I aimed for the crowd, rather than the sun.

If you want some technical details: I used a 50mm lens for this shot along with a Hoya Polarizing filter.
