Lighting Up
I went out to the Brooklyn Heights promenade with James last night to take some last shots of the city split between darkness and light. While we were waiting for the sun to go down, Con-Ed started powering up the lower part of Manhattan, so instead of a city split by darkness, we got shots of acuity lighting up for the first time in 4 days.
Bokehed Long Exposures
In case you don’t know, they shine lights in place of the World Trade Center towers that fell 10 years ago. It’s an amazing site to see, and a privilege to photograph. For this shot I actually modified the focus as I exposed it, so you see details and bokeh, which is something I’ve been trying to do for a while now.
